Duration of Event: 4 – 4.5 hours
Take a stroll along the wild west coast of New Zealand with Robert Hodgson and other guides with this coastal walk, linking Foxton to Himatangi along the west coast.
For this walk, you’ll be dropped off by bus at Foxton Beach, before starting your walk North towards Himatangi Beach. You’ll be walking alongside one of the Southern Hemisphere’s largest sand dune fields, and you’ll get the chance to see local wildlife swimming, flying or crawling past.
Once you get to Himatangi Beach, fish n’ chips will be on order for you to enjoy picnic style as the sun disappears for the evening. Alternatively, you can pack your own picnic meal to bring along with you.
Please ensure you wear appropriate walking footwear, bring warm clothing, and pack plenty of adequate drink and food.
Note:The ordering of fish and chips will be taken before you depart Palmerston North, there will be 2 x options for packs to make this process run smoothly. Fish and Chips are optional and are an additional cost paid at the shop.
